Check out this article Jared found this morning (slightly off topic, but noteworthy).
Jared and I haven’t heard of anything quite like this at TVN. But, we have heard of residents moving out because their children–the actual individuals involved in paying for their parents’ lifestyle–could no longer afford their parents’ living situation with such a turbulent economy this year. That’s kind of scary for some–especially those who don’t want to move in with their children! And it poses an interesting question concerning the great boom in building and providing retirement communities for the baby boomers who are about the retire: with all of the building going on to provide housing for these baby boomers, will people still be able to afford it?
